2019 KTQ Empowering Truth Benefit Luncheon

Join us as we honor documentary legend Julia Reichert, a three-time Academy Award nominee whose recent documentary American Factory won the Best Documentary Directing Award at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and will be streaming on Netflix beginning August 21st. In honor of her filmmaking and dedication to the documentary industry, Kartemquin will present her with the inaugural 2019 KTQ Empowering Truth Award.

The event will also include an exclusive attendees-only sneak peek of Chicago Story, director Steve James’ upcoming documentary on Chicago’s 2019 mayoral election, as well as previews of new films being produced by graduates of Kartemquin Filmmaker Development Programs! These previews will be exclusively screened for luncheon attendees so make sure to register below to reserve your spot!
